This is the first recording of the restored organ in Central Hall, Westminster. It is a large four manual instrument which dominates the Hall which is situated opposite to Westminster Abbey. Gerard Brooks, organist has chosen a programme of British music which features past organists in the form of Lloyd Webber, and Meale the music of which is unrecorded. Woven around this is music by composers who taught at the Royal College of Music – Stanford, Coleridge Taylor, Ireland and Parry.
"The CD is a fine piece of planning and performance....its is 80 minutes of entrancing music....congratulations to Gerard Brooks and his colleagues."
The Methodist Recorder.
